I “met” Jackie one wintery afternoon while procrastinating studying for my Organic Chemistry midterm. A doctor I follow re-posted content of hers that was really captivating to me. As I scrolled, I learned more about her story and then my jaw dropped: she did what I’m doing. She was a graphic designer turned future doctor… and not only that… we were from the same state. I couldn’t believe it. Up to that point, I was feeling quite lonely and constantly questioning if I was making the right move. A DM on Instagram turned into a FaceTime which turned into a friendship I treasure. And right before we moved from Boston for medical school, I was able to create some branding images for her. A sweet, sweet reminder for us all to live our truth because someone else is depending on it
